What is WCAG?
WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) are guidelines used to make web content more accessible to people with various types of disabilities. The guidelines consist of various criteria that must be met to ensure that the website is user-friendly for everyone. By following WCAG, web designers and developers can create web content that is easy to navigate and understand for people with visual or hearing impairments, motor impairments, or cognitive impairments. By, for example, using alternative text for images, creating clear headings and using contrasting colors, you can increase accessibility for all users. There are other guidelines and standards for accessibility on the web, but WCAG is one of the most recognized and used internationally. By following these guidelines, website owners can increase their audience and provide a better experience for all their visitors, regardless of any disabilities.
