What is Firewalls?
A firewall is a physical or software device that filters and regulates traffic between two or more networks. Firewalls are used to prevent unwanted and dangerous traffic from reaching a network. Most firewalls are configured to allow traffic from certain IP addresses and block traffic from others. Firewalls can also be configured to allow or block certain types of traffic, such as email or web traffic.
