About the RoleWe serve thousands of customers on several platforms and products within the business unit POS in Sweden every day.We are now hiring a Product Engineering Manager to lead the Swedish development of our Point-of-Sale solutions, building, and managing our local engineering team.This is a pivotal role where you will shape the future of POS technology in Sweden and collaborate closely with Nordic stakeholders to ensure alignment and innovation.This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution. For the right candidate, there are exceptional growth opportunities – not only within POS but across other business areas – as Confirma acquires 4–6 companies annually and is projected to double in size within five years.Key ResponsibilitiesAs Product Engineering Manager, you will:<ul><li>Build and lead the Swedish POS development team, including recruitment, coaching, and competence development.</li><li>Establish a strong technical foundation and foster a culture of quality and innovation.</li><li>Ensure efficient sprint planning, DevOps pipelines, and release management.</li><li>Oversee development, testing, and production environments with a focus on reliability and scalability.</li><li>Drive quality assurance practices to maintain high standards across all deliverables.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Product Management, Support, and Operations to deliver business-critical features.</li><li>Manage development and maintenance roadmaps to ensure maximum system uptime.</li><li>Represent the engineering function in internal and external forums, including customer meetings and strategic discussions.</li><li>Participate in Nordic-level leadership activities (some travel required).</li></ul>Your ProfileWe are looking for an inspiring technical leader who combines strategic vision with operational excellence. You have experience building modern, cloud-based platforms and thrive in environments where technology and people leadership go hand in hand.You bring:<ul><li>Several years of experience in software engineering leadership, ideally within SaaS, POS, ERP, or transaction-based platforms.</li><li>Deep technical knowledge of modern architectures, databases, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred).</li><li>Strong command of Agile methodologies, DevOps principles, and CI/CD.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple codebases and programming languages, ensuring consistency and quality across diverse technologies.</li><li>Proven ability to deliver projects and releases in small to medium-sized teams – with a focus on quality and speed rather than scale.</li><li>Experience implementing testing and QA processes to ensure product reliability.</li><li>A structured and analytical mindset balanced by creativity and curiosity.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and confidence in managing stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>The ability to lead with clarity and empathy, inspiring teams to reach their full potential.</li><li>Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.</li></ul>Why Join Confirma Software?Confirma Software is a fast-growing Nordic technology group focused on innovation and long-term value creation.
