About the role:
* As a Data Science consultant, you are expected to have one or several assignments for our clients, be part of the Helicon team, and work closely with developers
* Your main task will be to build and maintain machine learning models and pipelines for our clients
* The focus will be models for time series forecasting, as part of a bigger system/application: build and test new models ranging from basic statistical models to cutting-edge deep learning models
* Evaluate and maintain models throughout their life cycle
* Be an integral part of the data science team, be a team player, and have a passion for building and sharing knowledge, especially knowledge that adds value to our clients

What we are looking for:
* Background from a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering etc
* +3 years of experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer, including experience in Machine Learning and Deep Learning modeling
* +3 years of experience working with the Python data science stack (Pandas, Dask Numpy, PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow, Pyspark/Spark)
* Experience working with time series analysis and forecasting
* Knowledge of, and experience with, building pipelines for machine learning models
* Experience with developing and maintaining machine learning models
* Experience using different databases and/or building data engineering pipelines
* Experience with developing infrastructure and/or applications, preferably in relation to machine learning (MLOps)
* Based in Stockholm with a valid work permit

Bonus;
* Experience working in the infrastructure in the energy field
* Previous experience as a consultant
* Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
* Experience using microservices

As a Mechatronics Engineer at Sigma Industry, you will supply your R&D services to a variety of industries such as Energy, Automotive, Defense, Process Manufacturing, MedTech and others. Our mechatronic engineers main know-how stretches between product and system development, focusing on mechanics, electronics, control theory and software.

Basic qualifications

Level of responsibility:

- You have been working independently in engineering projects with some assistance from senior engineers.
- You are used to document your results; write technical reports and present conclusions to your engineering colleagues.

Level of experience:

- Competent within system modelling and mechanical schematics
- Competent within electronics design
- Competent within mechanical design
- Competent within HW test amd validation
- Advanced beginner within programming (python or similar)

Linguistics:

- Swedish and English (spoken and written)

Preferred additional skills, personal traits, experience:

You recognize yourself as an independent and enthusiastic individual with an academic degree level of B.Sc. or higher. You see yourself as a responsible individual with a high social competence who is a true team player. You have an eye for details, as well as the ability to zoom out to see the bigger picture when needed.
 
Besides this, you have a solid theoretical background and a great understanding of the leading technologies involved in your field of interest. It is also of great importance for you to create an added value in all your deliveries each day.
