What is Marketing Communications?
Marketing communications is the process through which companies and organizations communicate with their target groups. It is a broad term that covers everything from advertising and PR to digital and social media. Marketing communications can be used to reach out with a message to a certain target group, for example to inform about a new product or service. It can also be used to build a brand or to generate interest in an organization or business. There are different types of marketing communications, for example: -Advertising: Aims to influence people to buy a certain product or service. Advertising can be in print, on radio or TV, online or offline. -PR (public relations): Aims to create a good reputation for a company or an organization. Public relations activities may include writing press releases, arranging press conferences or participating in interviews. -Digital marketing: Aims to reach out with a message via digital channels, for example social media, e-mail or websites. -Social media: Aims to reach out with a message via social media, for example Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Marketing communications is an important part of the companies' and organizations' communication mix. It is an effective way to reach target g
