What is Embedded Linux?
Embedded Linux is a competence in the area where you work with operating systems that are adapted to run on devices with limited hardware. This differs from other operating systems as it must be adapted to work on smaller and more limited devices. It is usually not possible to install a regular operating system on such a device. Embedded Linux is a skill required to be able to install, configure and customize an operating system for a limited device. It is also a skill required to be able to create and manage programs that run on these devices. There are many different operating systems that are adapted to run on limited devices. Embedded Linux is one of these operating systems. Other operating systems for limited devices include Microsoft Windows CE and Google Android.
