Why This Role MattersThe Connectors team is at the heart of Funnel's success—without them, Funnel wouldn’t be able to deliver the value our customers rely on! Connectors are responsible for pulling data from various marketing platforms into Funnel, making it accessible for analysis and enhancement. They work closely with our customers to understand their needs and continuously improve our product. The team also collaborates with teams across design, product, and technical support, where they play a key role in addressing technical product inquiries and ensuring everything runs smoothly.About the Engineering Team &amp; Your RoleOur teams have clear ownership of their product areas, making daily decisions in close collaboration both within and across teams, as well as with stakeholders. We work in small, iterative cycles, experimenting, learning, and updating the product multiple times a day.The Connectors team focuses on seamlessly fetching marketing data from diverse sources like Facebook, Google, and TikTok. We unify this data to ensure it’s readily accessible and actionable for marketers through the Funnel Data-Hub dashboard. With over 280 connectors, the team ensures each one functions reliably out of the box for our customers.At Funnel, our engineers handle everything from designing system architecture to implementation, deploying and monitoring our services. We put our customers first and always strive to design products that address their needs and go above and beyond.Skills &amp; Experience We’re Looking For<ul><li>+5 years of working experience as a software developer.</li><li>Comfortable with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.</li><li>Hands-on experience building API integrations between different platforms to ensure smooth data flow and functionality. </li><li>Comfortable working with large datasets, optimizing pipelines, ensuring data quality, and using the right tools to handle big data efficiently.</li><li>Familiar with test-driven development and writing clean, testable code. You’re comfortable building tests and letting them guide your development to create reliable, high-quality software.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience working with agile methodologies and team-based workflows. As the backbone of the platform, the team primarily focuses on building a platform that enables continuous data retrieval, storage, transformation and exposing the data to the rest of the product.We are looking for someone who can bring fresh perspectives from various areas like distributed computing, data engineering, large-scale system design and architecture. We are using the most relevant and innovative open source technologies that are right for the job, while adjusting and building our tech on top of them to be able to cater for our product’s specific needs.<h3>Skills &amp; Experience We’re Looking For</h3><ul><li>6-10+ years of experience with systems programming languages such as Rust, C/C++, Go and/or Java/Scala.</li><li>Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and operations (AWS or GCP preferred).</li><li>Experience in building distributed multi-tenant systems, and challenges such as scalability, data synchronisation, fault tolerance, and inter-service communication.</li><li>Experience in system architecture and modelling systems.
