What is Renewable Energy?
Renewable Energy is a term used to describe energy sources that are renewable and do not run out. These energy sources are sustainable and have minimal environmental impacts compared to non-renewable energy sources. Examples of renewable energy sources include solar energy, wind power, hydropower, geothermal energy and biomass. These energy sources utilize natural resources such as the sun, wind, water, earth's heat and organic matter to produce energy. The benefits of renewable energy include reduced carbon dioxide emissions, reduced dependence on non-renewable energy sources and the creation of new job opportunities in the green economy. Renewable energy plays an important role in reducing climate change and promoting sustainable development. Some examples of organizations working to promote renewable energy include the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA). You can read more about renewable energy and its benefits on organizations' websites, research reports and news articles on the subject.
