What is QEMU?
QEMU is a free and open source virtualization tool. It uses full virtualization to create completely separate environments for different operating systems. QEMU supports several different types of emulation and can run on several different platforms, including Windows, macOS, Linux, and BSD. QEMU is often used to test new operating systems and software before installing them on a physical computer. It also makes it possible to run different operating systems on the same computer, which can be useful for testing different configurations or for running programs that are not compatible with the operating system installed on the computer. QEMU is one of the most popular tools for virtualization and emulation and is often compared to other similar tools, such as VMware and VirtualBox.
