What is Investment Banking?
Investment Banking is a financial activity involving companies and individuals that help companies and governments raise capital by facilitating equity and bond issues. Investment banks also offer advice on business transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, as well as various forms of financial advice. There are many different companies that offer investment banking services. Examples of large investment banks are Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank. These companies play an important role in the financial market and help drive the economy forward by facilitating capital raising for companies and governments.
