Summary 🤸‍♂️

We are looking for a backend senior Software Engineer to join our team at Juni. In this role, you will be expected to own and drive work in high-complexity features and recommend approaches to architectural decisions. You may take the lead on the design and delivery of a major initiative in your team. Your influence will sit mostly within the boundaries of their team, but you may provide feedback to proposals from teams yours collaborates with. You will work closely with a Tech Lead, who will be your direct manager, other engineers, designers and a product manager to deliver your team and company’s goals.

The Team 😄

You will join a team that is responsible for spend management features. This is a central pillar of our strategy currently being developed. The team also maintains services that integrate with other tools that our customers use and build a unified view of the information that otherwise is scattered across many sources. There is a lot to learn, and a lot of new build and also to improve.

Responsibilities: 📋

The right candidate can work independently, has an ownership mindset, and is open to feedback. They are capable of driving features independently throughout the entire feature lifecycle.

In This Role You Will

Build and own features, from planning to delivery and maintenance.
Drive product monitoring, incident management, on-call support and customer support.
Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable backend oriented software.
Leading feature development with support from your team.
Constantly improve the architecture, codebases, and processes within the team
Help other teammates with things you excel at

Golang on the backend
AWS + Kubernetes
Postgres and Redis
gRPC, Kafka
Typescript + React on the frontend
A handful of other tools and packages that help us build Juni’s platform

Qualifications 👑

What we need to see:

Vast professional programming experience
Experience working on the backend (ideally in a strongly-typed language)
Product-oriented mindset, being able to drive features from inception to completion
Strong communication skills in English
Self-driven
Bachelors in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar

What We’d Love To See

Strong experience in Golang and its library ecosystem
Accounting and/or Spend Management domain knowledge
Experience building integrations
Knowledge of security and/or DevOps best practices
