What is Atmel AVR?
Atmel AVR is a microcontroller series from Atmel. The series is intended for use in everything from small and medium-sized systems to complex systems. The AVR controller is an 8-bit controller that uses a RISC architecture. This makes it faster and easier to use than the microcontroller in many other 8-bit controller series. The AVR controller also has several built-in peripherals, such as AD converters, PWM generators, and serial communication interfaces.
